Dr. Lisa Beard joined Complete Women’s Care Center in 2008 after completing her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. She is a former graduate of The University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in child development. She obtained her Doctorate of Medicine in 2004 from the University of South Alabama.

Dr. Beard graduated in the top third of her medical school class. During this time, she was elected to the medical school admissions committee where she served for two years. In 2007, she served on the Ob/Gyn residency selection committee at Memorial Hermann Hospital where she took an active role in the recruitment process.

Dr. Beard has a particular interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and is one of a select few gynecologic surgeons in Houston to be trained in the use of the DaVinci Robot. This cutting edge technology allows the surgeon to perform more complex surgeries than may be possible with traditional laparoscopy, with minimal incisions and less recovery time. Her practice also includes general obstetrics and a full range of gynecologic services. She enjoys establishing a continuum of care with her patients and building lifelong relationships with them and their families.

Dr. Beard is on staff at Memorial Hermann (obstetrics and gynecology) and St. Luke’s hospitals (gynecology only). She also serve as a clinical instructor at the University of Texas medical school.

In her spare time, Dr. Beard enjoys exercising, decorating, playing with her pugs, and spending quality time with her husband, Jeff.
